in tannins and gaining optimal adjustment to tannin-rich diet requires time; thus, skilfully, goats prefer to safeguard their advantage in utilizing food that is available to them at all seasons. There is a positive interaction between the enhanced recycling rate of urea and a superior digestion of such food in goats adapted to harsh environment. The rumen plays an important role in the developed adaptations by its use as a huge fermentation container and water tank. The water stored in the rumen is utilized during dehydration, and the rumen serves as a container, which accommodates the ingested water upon rehydration. The rumen, the salivary glands and the kidney coordinately take action in the regulation of water intake and water distribution following acute dehydration and rapid rehydration. Some of the physiological features of ruminants defined as intermediate feeders such as a big salivary gland, the large absorptive area of their rumen epithelium, and the capacity to rapidly change the volume of the foregut in response to environmental changes are most likely responsible for the goat’s superior digestion.

Adaptation to hot climate and strategies to alleviate heat stress in livestock production.
Despite many challenges faced by animal producers, including environmental problems, diseases, economic pressure, and feed availability, it is still predicted that animal production in developing countries will continue to sustain the future growth of the world's meat production. In these areas, livestock performance is generally lower than those obtained in Western Europe and North America. Al...
متن کاملThe Use of Housing System in the Management of Heat Stress in Poultry Production in Hot and Humid Climate: a Review
There is a gap between the population growth and protein supply in many tropical countries where per capita income is low and the majority of people consume less protein than a daily standard for recommended protein intake. Poultry egg production remains the fastest route to bridging the protein demand-supply gap in these regions. However, poultry are faced with heat stress in the tropics which...

Strategies to enhance local adaptation capacity are needed to mitigate climate change impacts and to maintain regional stability of food production. The objectives of this study were to simulate the climate change effects on phenology stages, potato production in the future and to explore the possibilities of employing planting dates and various varieties (Agria, Arinda and Santeh) as mitigatin...
متن کاملPresentation of an Operational Program to Reduce vulnerability of outdoor workers to to heat stress and climate change
Background: Outdoor workers are vulnerable to heat stress and climate change due to their occupational and environmental conditions. Short-term exposure to extreme heat (acute exposure) can lead to rise the core body temperature, which it may directly cause heat related illnesses such as mild rash, cramps, heat exhaustion and heat stroke. It is reported that long-term chronic exposure to heat l...
